Real Food Festival targets trade buyers
The Real Food Festival 2010, the UK-based exhibition of smaller food producers, is free to trade visitors this year.
The event takes place 7-10 May at Earls Court, London, and is pitched as 'the ultimate sourcing event of the year'.
The Real Food Festival provides subsided stands for smaller producers, with up to 400 producers attending, many not to be found at any other food events this year.
Family run business, Yarty Valley Provisions, which produces a range of cordials and presse made only from real fruit, has exhibited at the Real Food Festival since it first opened its doors to the public three years ago.
"The The Real Food Festival has given us the opportunity to meet the right people and introduce our products to the wider public," said owners David and Jayne Mugridge.
"As a result, our products are now stocked in Morrisons and Waitrose in the South West and as far as the Isle of Wight, Ireland and Scotland."
Other key features of the Festival include:
- A chance to sample delicious food produced sustainably and ethically
- Time to talk directly to the producers themselves, discovering the individual stories behind their produce
- An opportunity to join expert panels debate food issues that will have a direct impact on the sustainability and profitability of many businesses
Philip Lowery, founder of the Real Food Festival, said: "For the trade buyer, this is the ultimate one-stop shop to source new and unique products. You will find new suppliers who will help you differentiate your business and give you a competitive advantage. And, as well as helping you improve your bottom line, it's a great day out too."
