Co-operative unveils new lines
The Co-operative, the UK’s leading convenience retailer, has launched a raft of new lines across bakery, fresh and frozen categories.
The retailer has introduced two new loaves under its premium own label, Truly Irresistible: an artisan, Sourdough Boule and Taw Valley Cheddar Cheese Boule, topped with cheese.
A Mediterranean Bloomer, featuring sun-dried tomatoes, green and red peppers, green olives and herbs and a Grand Rustic loaf are also new.
Truly Irresistible Belgian White Chocolate Cookies and a Cherry Pie complete the new in-store bakery products line up.
The new lines will be sold through 1,907 in-store bakeries in the Co-operative chain.
At the same time, the retailer has introduced a range of limited edition fresh, chilled soups to its own brand offer. They include Truly Irresistible Moroccan Spiced Chickpea and Minestrone Soups. From 16 June, the soups will be replaced with a Truly Irresistible Sweetcorn and Bacon Chowder and Pea & Mint Soup, which will be available until 7 September.
Finally, two fish cake products, featuring a melting middle, have joined the Truly Irresistible frozen range: Smoked Haddock & Davidstow Cheddar Melting Middle Fishcakes and Salmon Florentine Melting Middle Fishcakes.
