NACS Show bundles Bush, American football and QuikTrip stores
Former US president, George W Bush, and Stew Leonard Jnr, CEO of food retailer Stew Leonard’s, will speak during the NACS Show in Atlanta, Georgia, 5-8 October 2010.
The NACS Show International Tour, in partnership with Insight Research, will take in visits to QuikTrip, which has recently opened a new concept store in Tulsa, Oklahoma and regularly ranks in Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work for.
Delegates who participate in the full NACS Show and retail study tour package will be offered cost price tickets to an American football game to see the Atlanta Falcons play the San Francisco 49ers on 3 October at the Georgia Dome.
NACS attracts a global audience from over 60 countries to its annual NACS Show, with more than 20,000 delegates taking part. It features international speakers, more than 80 workshop sessions, retail store visits and an EXPO.
The NACS Show International Tour offers delegates two options: a retail study tour, with visits to leading convenience retailers following on from the event’s workshop sessions; and a retail study tour, NACS Show and accommodation package including an international dinner.
With over 3,500 convenience stores, Georgia’s $5bn c-store market ranks fifth in the US for the number of convenience stores in the state.
According to Insight, the retail study tours are a great way for delegates to meet international retailers and suppliers and gain valuable insight into US convenience store and forecourt best practice.
The store-tour only option comprises:
- Tuesday morning 5 October visits to Publix, Wholefoods, QuikTrip and others
- Wednesday afternoon 6 October visits to QuikTrip Kitchens Commissary and Distribution Centre, QuikTrip store, RaceTrac store and Kangeroo Express Store
- Thursday afternoon 7 October visits to QuikTrip Kitchens Commissary and Distribution Centre, QuikTrip store, RaceTrac store and Kangeroo Express Store
(Delegates can select individual or multiple days). The delegate price is $420 or $349 with an early bird discount, valid until 30 July 2010.
The full package comprises store tours, registration at the NACS Show plus accommodation and numerous networking and social opportunities.
The cost per delegate is $2,950 or £2,459 with an early bird discount, valid until 30 July 2010.
